Artist's Studio Pat Ann Black Studio 913-682-5833 pablack@aol.com Medium Transparent watercolor on paper Style/Subject Rather than painting particular subjects, I paint using a particular palette. My palette is limited to 6 or 7 colors which I mix for a wider range of colors. I paint in a representational style, sometimes loose and flowing and other times more controlled. Philosophy Watching the flow of the transparent watercolors as they mix in the palette and on the paper, makes my day. The medium keeps me captivated and painting. I feel that I accomplished my goal with a painting if it “sings and dances”. Artistic Beginnings Drawing was a main activity as a child. I had an easel by four or five and the rest is history.
