Philosophy

"I try to evoke an emotional response with my art. The ambiguity in my art is intentional to draw the viewer in and make them an active participant in creating the story behind the artwork."

Artistic Beginnings

I can’t remember a time I was not fascinated by drawing and painting. I grew up in a rural community where there was not very much art education available. My early artwork was mostly pencil drawings of images from magazines or things found around the farm that I grew up on.
