K-Cee Colburn

Photography

My journey as a photographer began more than 50 years ago when my father introduced me to the Rolleiflex camera he'd used as an Associated Press WWII war correspondent. I later got a degree in Journalism/Photojournalism and worked as a newspaper photographer during the days of film and dark rooms.

I drifted away from photography while raising a family but with the advent of digital cameras rediscovered my love of taking pictures. For the last ten years I've focused  (no pun intended) primarily on conservation and nature photography to help educate people on the beauty and fragility of our environment.  While nature comprises much of my portfolio, I still enjoy capturing quirky urban scenes.
