Artistic Philosophy

Margarita chose watercolor for it's vibrancy and glowing color. The medium's unpredictability presents a challenge she has always enjoyed.  Recently she has discovered the joy of oil painting.

Artistic Beginnings

​

Margarita has been working in watercolor since the late 1970's, doing mainly commission work.  She is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and former student of the Kansas City Art Institute. She has also participated in numerous workshops and classes with well-known watercolor artists such as Maggie McCarthy, Jim Hamil and Ed Fenendael.
