Susan Kern
Painting
Small paintings have always been fun for me, but when I learned about contemporary miniature artists, my canvases grew even smaller. I became a member of the Miniature Artists Society of Florida and began sending my paintings to juried miniature art shows across the country. It was quite an honor when two of my paintings were accepted into the World Federation of Miniaturists Exhibition and displayed in their show at the Smithsonian.
I create bigger works also. I enjoy working with oil paints, acrylics and colored pencils. Before receiving my degree in studio art, I spent a summer working as a portrait artist at Worlds of Fun. Portraits are still my favorite subject. To see more of my work please visit my website.
