I enjoy capturing moments in time. Through color, shape, and detail, I seek to evoke emotions that feel both familiar and intriguing while creating compositions that are visually engaging.
Before Covid, watercolor was my primary medium. An unexpected reduction in work hours during the pandemic gave me the opportunity to experiment with acrylics—embracing bold colors and precise detail to infuse each painting with a striking “wow” factor.
A native of Kansas City, I grew up immersed in sports—from playing in local leagues to cheering on the Kansas City A’s and Chiefs at Municipal Stadium. I was always captivated by the colors, energy, and visual details of each event. In my teens, I discovered that art was my true calling, devoting myself to classes and countless hours at my drafting table.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Central Missouri, I built a 40+ year career in graphic design. Today, I continue to channel my lifelong passion for sports and art, translating the action, emotion, and atmosphere of the playing field onto canvas. I live in Olathe with my wife and son.
